Kurumba Maldives has announced the appointment of Morten Jr as its new General Manager. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Morten has had an impressive career spanning multiple continents with extensive experience working for some of the world’s leading hotel brands, including One&Only, Radisson, Anantara and IHG. His hospitality background spans from Germany and Denmark to the United Arab Emirates, Maldives, Czech Republic, Thailand, Indonesia, the Netherlands and China. His unique perspective and diverse global experience enable him to build meaningful relationships and strengthen collaborations across different cultures.
Morton’s leadership style is focused on delivering a personalized experience for guests while ensuring the highest level of service standards. He is a passionate leader with a keen business acumen. He thrives in a team environment and inspires and energizes those around him. His visionary thinking and passion drive him to great results.
A Danish national, Morten can trace his passion for hospitality and dedication to excellence back to his educational background, having qualified as a Hotel Specialist at Bergius University of Technology in Frankfurt, Germany, and a Business qualification from Copenhagen Business College in Denmark. His strong academic foundation and work experience have enabled him to excel in his career and have made a positive impact on the properties he has worked for.
