New Delhi, August 13, 2024: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has announced the appointment of Luca Zipponi as CEO, Rolled Products. In this role, Luca will be responsible for driving growth and overseeing all operations related to the product group, which has various applications including automotive, insulation, power projects, electrical and packaging. He will best leverage technology to drive innovation and deliver greater value to customers, further strengthening Vedanta Aluminium’s market leadership and operational excellence.
With over 30 years of experience, Luca has held various leadership positions across Europe and Asia and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Previously, he was Group Chief Operating Officer and UK Managing Director at Reflexalen Group. His extensive operational and strategic experience includes: Moving Forward Vedanta Aluminium’s rolled products business.
Vedanta Aluminium’s Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) division located at Korba, Chhattisgarh, has a state-of-the-art rolled products facility with a production capacity of 720,000 tonnes per annum (LTPA).The facility comprises of a casting station, continuous caster, hot rolling mill and cold rolling mill.
