The UNITED GRINDING Group will be exhibiting its wide range of machine tools and presenting its digital assistance systems at BI-MU in Milan.
This year, the UNITED GRINDING Group will be exhibiting four machines from its Cylindrical Grinding, Surface & Profile and Tool Machining Technology Groups as well as selected UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™ products at BI-MU.
In the field of cylindrical grinding, STUDER presents its latest automation solution, insertLoad, with the S31 universal external cylindrical grinding machine, which combines the advantages of standardization with great flexibility and can be operated from the CORE panel. As a versatile universal external cylindrical grinding machine, the S31 is suitable for small to large workpieces. Different production Thanks to its modular system and high configurability, it meets the requirements of individual, small-scale and series production.
In the field of surface and profile grinding, BLOHM is presenting a competitive surface grinding machine in the entry-level segment: the PLANOMAT XT Essential. This three-axis machine is specially optimized for the requirements of surface grinding using reciprocating and creep feed techniques.
In tool processing, visitors can also see the HELITRONIC MINI PLUS tool grinding machine with CORE technology. This machine is particularly suitable for the flexible production and resharpening of small and medium-diameter tools. The innovative laser contour check option, which measures various tool parameters of cylindrical tools contact-free, can be seen in action on this machine. The HELICHECK PLUS CNC measuring machine can also be experienced first-hand at the exhibition. Thanks to the addition of a fourth camera with 400x magnification, even the smallest geometries of cutting tools can be captured and measured.
Interested customers can also look forward to a live demonstration of UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™, the Group’s digital assistance system. Thanks to a direct and secure connection from the machine’s CORE panel to the UNITED GRINDING Group’s customer care team, operators can receive support from remote locations quickly and easily. This is possible via so-called “Remote Service”. In addition, production data from all connected machines can be monitored in real time at a glance in the “Production Monitor”.
