Canareef Resort Maldives has announced the appointment of Sherzod Berdhof as its new Front Office Manager. With 14 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Sherzod brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for exceptional guest service to this key role.
Sherzod began his career in 2011 as a Guest Services Team Leader at a pre-opening hotel in his hometown of Dushanbe. Due to his outstanding performance, he was promoted to Duty Manager at the same hotel. Looking to broaden his horizons, Sherzod joined the 5-star Redang Island Resort in Malaysia in 2014 and spent around two years honing his skills in a new environment.
In 2016, Sherzod returned to his previous hotel in Dushanbe, this time as Assistant Front Office Manager (AFOM). His dedication and expertise saw him promoted to Front Office Manager (FOM) in 2018, a position he held for nearly six years. During this time, Sherzod also managed e-commerce and revenue responsibilities, demonstrating his versatility and strategic thinking.
In 2023, Sherzod took on a new challenge at a four-star resort in the Seychelles, spending a year further honing his skills and broadening his international experience.
Mr. Sherzod’s journey has been marked not only by an illustrious career trajectory, but also by educational achievements. After graduating with a degree in Economics from the Russian Slavic University, Mr. Sherzod discovered his true passion for hospitality. To further his expertise, he pursued a degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University, graduating in 2020.
