Lindt is a pioneer in the fine chocolate market, embodying the passion of Swiss master chocolatiers while mastering the art of gourmet chocolate making.
Lindt Master Chocolatier Live
To celebrate the grand opening, Lindt Master Chocolatier Thomas Schnetzler will be creating fresh Lindor truffles on-site. Trained in Switzerland and now living in Australia, Thomas brought the Lindt magic to life as guests watched him create the brand’s iconic milk chocolate truffles with their signature smooth, melting centers.
This is a rare opportunity to see the artistry of Swiss chocolate making up close.
“Creating chocolate that brings joy to people is truly special,” says Thomas. “For me, it’s not just about making a treat, it’s about creating moments of happiness that people can savor and share. We’re excited to bring this unique experience to New Zealand with our new Lindt store in Auckland, and can’t wait to connect with New Zealand chocolate lovers and share our passion for chocolate and Lindt with them.”
The World of Lindt in New Zealand
Conveniently located at the central entrance of Manawa Bay Premium Outlet Centre, Lindt’s first New Zealand store will be open daily from 10am to 7pm.
Lindt Master Chocolatier Thomas trained as a pastry chef and confiseur at the famous Confiserie Reber in the town of Schaffhausen, about 50km north of Zurich, Switzerland.
During his three years of intensive training, Thomas studied under Master Chocolatier Laurent Perillaz, learning the techniques of making fine pralines, truffles, chocolate specialities and chocolate pieces.
Thomas joined Lindt & Sprungli more than 20 years ago and, as one of only five Lindt Master Chocolatiers in the world, he is passionate about developing new Lindt products and is integral to spreading the Lindt message.
His mission in life is to explore new heights in chocolate enjoyment. Thomas is always sharing his knowledge about chocolate, how it is made and how to combine it with other dishes, educating people on what makes Lindt chocolate so special.
