Stoddart New Zealand has announced it will establish a dedicated stock storage facility in Christchurch.
The strategic move is aimed at streamlining distribution across the South Island, improving service levels and enhancing customer service, while reducing the company’s environmental impact and contributing to the local economy.
Optimized South Island Network
“The new stock storage facility in Christchurch will be supported by third party logistics (3PL) to optimise our distribution network across the South Island,” Stoddart country manager Adrian Dixon said.
“This strategic shift will not only improve the speed and reliability of our services, but also reduce reliance on the congested Cook Strait ferry system, leading to more efficient logistics and reduced transport costs.
“We are exploring opportunities to further expand our product range to give South Island customers access to a wider range of high-quality products at lower prices.
Reduce transportation costs
“Stoddart is helping to address the cost of living crisis by reducing transport costs and increasing speed of service. Our efforts to streamline logistics and reduce operational costs ultimately benefit our customers with more affordable transport,” Dixon said.
Key highlights of the product offering include the redesign of Airex Displays and the launch of the Merchandisers series.
Reflecting its ongoing commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, Airex has introduced newly redesigned displays and launched a new merchandiser series. These changes are designed to improve the visibility and accessibility of our products, making it easier for customers to find what they need.
“With the implementation of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS), Airex has significantly reduced its environmental impact. These efforts are in line with our sustainability efforts and ensure our products and operations contribute to a greener future,” Dixon said.
Shareholding
“We are excited about the positive change this inventory storage facility will bring to our South Island business and the community at large. Our focus on sustainability, improved service levels and reduced costs is part of our commitment to making life easier and more affordable for our customers.”
