Pyrex measuring cups are a beloved kitchen staple in our home. It’s been used every day since I bought it years ago and has managed to withstand abuse from toddler baking experiments and stuffing the dishwasher.
When we purchased the cups, we knew we were purchasing Made in America quality, and they live up to that reputation. With Amazon’s search results flooded with products made in China, the “Made in USA” label was a big deciding factor in my purchase.
Unfortunately, Amazon customers looking for Made in USA Pyrex measuring cups for their homes during the pandemic weren’t so lucky.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone was into sourdough bread mania and baking, Instant Brands claims to have seen a surge in consumer demand for glass measuring cups. There is. The company claims it turned to China to manufacture Pyrex measuring cups from March 2021 to May 2022 because its U.S. factories could no longer supply enough product by early 2021. These Chinese-made Pyrex measuring cups were then sold on Amazon.com.
