The fund provides debt financing to fintech companies across Southeast Asia, supporting growth in a rapidly expanding market.
The investment was made through GMO-PG’s Singapore subsidiary, GMO-Z.COM PAYMENT GATEWAY PTE. Co., Ltd.
This coincided with Southeast Asia’s fintech startups raising US$899.3 million in the first half of 2024, driven by the region’s digital shift, strong demand from many young people, and technological innovation.
Helicap is a fintech company focused on private debt opportunities, aiming to address Southeast Asia’s USD 500 billion financing gap by providing capital to underserved sectors .
Through advanced data analytics, Helicap has invested over USD 400 million in capital and indirectly served over 5 million MSMEs and individuals in the past six years.
