local insurtech igloo Launching a new direct-to-consumer platform, igloo.co.idin Indonesia.
igloo.co.id provides coverage and policy information, allowing consumers to buy motorcycle, auto, pet and travel insurance from top providers such as Zurich, Sompo, SinarMas, Oona and more.
The platform offers features such as fast quotes, “buy now” and “upload later” for document submission, and billing support to assist users throughout the process.
Since its soft launch in May 2023, igloo.co.id has attracted nearly 20,000 visitors per month, and Igloo is incorporating customer feedback to improve the platform.
Support is also available through WhatsApp, telemarketing and digital-only channels.
This expansion builds on Igloo’s experience in business-to-business-to-consumer and business-to-agent insurance models.
The launch is part of Igloo’s strategy to increase insurance penetration in Indonesia, where the coverage rate is just 2.7%, according to the Financial Services Authority.
