We worked especially hard this year to find Made in USA companies that have not been included in the guide before, so we can shine a spotlight on even more great American makers and manufacturers. We also purposely selected an eclectic mix of items at a variety of price points, so there’s something Made in America for everyone on your list!

For the past 20 years, Liberty Puzzles in Boulder, Colo., has been designing, manufacturing, and distributing heirloom-quality wooden jigsaw puzzles. Born out of a family’s bonding over the challenges of connecting the pieces, Liberty Puzzles are designed to bring the intricacy, craftsmanship and beauty of classic wooden jigsaw puzzles to both children and adults alike.
This is one of those that require checking the country of origin label, as not everything made by Little Tikes is Made in USA. But the childhood mainstay continues to make many of its products at its factory in Ohio, including the legendary Cozy Coupe, and has a special section on its website dedicated to its American-made offerings.

Anyone who has ever multiple cats will understand where The Other Cat gets its unique name. When you have two cats, there’s always a fluffy, majestic one and well, the other one. Founder and District of Columbia resident Nichole Sorhaindo has those two cats, and her other cat – named Selma – is her constant worktime companion. The Other Cat (the company, not the feline) is known for its embroidery kits, which are perfect for someone looking to craft over the holiday break, sized just right to be stocking stuffers.
It’s cozy season, and what could be cozier than enjoying a game that dates back to the 1600s with your loved ones? Cast & Carve specializes in beautiful wooden cribbage boards that boast Maine-themed designs, including lobsters, moose, state cutouts and more. But if you’re hoping to shar your the Pine Tree State in other ways, the company also sells wooden ornament and keychains.
Fair warning: The violins, guitars, mandolins, and other stringed instruments made by Bluett Bros Violins in York, Pennsylvania do not come cheap. But the instruments made by Master luthier Mark Bluett, himself a professional musician, are top quality, designed to play exquisite music and last generations. Weber Speakers counts members of Blondie, Pearl Jam and the Zac Brown Band among users of its amplifier speakers. But the bulk of this company’s customers are just amateur musicians who like to rock. Founded in a Kokomo garage by a father-son duo in 1996, this company still hand builds every speaker it makes, meaning you can get your order made to your precise specification. Bath and Beauty
Remedy By Jess offers soaps and skincare products for both men and women. The business was born out of a struggling young family’s homemade Christmas gifts in 2012. This growing company offers a host of bath products for both men and women. Reader Pick
Founded in 1752, Caswell-Massey specializes in fine fragrances, luxury soaps and skincare products for men and women. Naturally derived formulations include its hallmark scent Number Six, which is the longest continuously manufactured American fragrance and said to be a favorite of none other than President George Washington. India Jackson struggled for years with eczema, only finding relief through trial and error by creating her own beauty products made with natural ingredients. Now her eczema is under control, and Jackson is sharing her creations via her company, Safyre Beauty. The Arkansas brand’s natural, handcrafted products include soaps, lotions, balms and serums, and even a new line of baby products.
Enjoy the scents of the clean, sweet desert air with Bisbee Soap & Sundry soaps, candles, and salves, made with Creosote that is wild harvested by hand by the shop’s owners. The husband-and-wife team have been crafting intoxicating Creosote products in Bisbee, Ariz., for the past nine years.
Eight years ago, Bath Sorbet got its start in founder Lacey Ogden’s home kitchen with just a $200 investment. Handmaking luxurious bath and body products made with skin-loving oils and butters was a happy distraction from Ogden’s battle with infertility, but orders came in from all over the world, and the venture quickly became serious business. American Optical (AO) has made eyewear in the United States since 1833 (!!!) and is a big part of the American story. The first company to provide goggles to U.S. military pilots, AO claims to have created the aviator style of sunglasses with those it began making for U.S. Army Air Corps pilots in 1935. Dwight Eisenhower, Ted Williams, Robert DeNiro, and John F. Kennedy are among the luminaries known to have worn the brand’s glasses, and AO made a special set for the Apollo 11 crew (now are on display on the Smithsonian). AO sunglasses are still American-made, at a facility in Chicago.
The tote bags, pocket pouches, and even wine totes made by ReFleece are all made from upcycled outdoor performance wear. Materials often come from garments that have a minor flaw — think a broken zipper or seam — and are therefore unsellable, but the fabric itself remains of high quality. Brands that send their old gear to ReFleece include Patagonia, Polartec, and Arc’Teryx, and the Fall River company says its entire line of upcycled products are made stateside.
Whether it be cowboy style, Panama, movie or a classic American fedora, Watson’s Hat Shop has you covered with its handmade line of American lids. This family-owned and operated Arizona retailer makes men’s and women’s hats from 100% sourced in the USA materials. Constructed by using rare hat making equipment from the 1860s, Watson’s chapeaus will last a lifetime.
Hurricane Helene blew the roof off the Port City Sewing Factory in Georgia, which is where Satchel manufactures its line of stylish handbags and accessories. The company was able to move into temporary digs, and says the best way to help is to purchase one of its products or gift cards this season. Boots that earned their sturdy reputation in the muddy Oregon timber camps in the early 20th century are a staple of the West Coast Shoe Company (Wesco). This family-owned business has been making boots at the same Scappoose workshop since 1918. Top-quality full-grain leather and the best materials are used in a 155-step process by the company’s bootmakers.
Steger Mukluks, located in Ely, Minnesota, offers handmade footwear celebrated for their warmth and lightweight design. Founded by Patti Steger in 1985, the company has grown from a small operation to producing over 12,000 pairs of Mukluks each year. Inspired by her experience during an Arctic expedition in 1982, Patti began crafting footwear designed to withstand extreme cold. Made from premium full-grain leather and featuring flexible rubber soles, these boots are perfect for everyday wear.
Apparel
The timeless wardrobe staples from Cobalt Street are the perfect counter to the ultra fast fashion that sadly dominates so much of today’s women’s apparel. In April 2005, Todd Shelton opened its doors in downtown Manhattan before moving 10 miles outside of NYC to East Rutherford to create a factory that houses all its apparel manufacturing. When the Made in Los Angeles manufacturer got its start in 1993, it developed performance fabrics for other sportswear brands. Magnolia Loom makes 100% USA-grown and sewn garments, using cotton that is sourced from throughout the state of Georgia. The company makes apparel for a number of organizations, but you can also shop a selection of T-shirts on its website, including many that feature Peach State-themed prints.
For the fashion look of Cuba, South Florida, and the Caribbean, Guayaberas Etc. offers distinctive Cuban shirts for men, women, and children. The loose-fitting, four pocket shirts have long been a staple of Cuban fashion and Guayaberas Etc. has been manufacturing these tropical weather friendly shirts in Miami for more than 40 years.
When BURU Founder/CEO Morgan Hutchinson launched her women’s apparel company in 2013, she wanted to make clothing that offered “effortless-yet-functional polish” and she wanted at least a portion of all her collections to be Made in America, so Hutchinson slowly built up her own micro-factory. Today, BURU’s 40-person manufacturing team in Los-Angeles is an integral part of the brand’s success, shortening production times, balancing inventory, and correcting errors early. Not all of the family-owned brand’s classic clothing is Made in America, much of it is, and country-of-origin labeling is spotlighted for everything it sells.
Ginew is a Native American owned maker of garments and goods that fuse contemporary styles with Ojibwe, Oneida, and Stockbridge-Munsee design elements. The apparel incorporates family symbols and teaching into the garments while focusing on Made in USA construction.
Handmade in Anchorage, Alaska, Rainpuk’s flannel-lined raincoats, which come in a whirl of colorful patterns, will keep you dry and in high spirits despite gray skies. 4T2D (Fortitude) is an apparel brand that is designed and manufactured entirely in the Green Mountain State. Specializing in T-shirts and beanies, this woman-owned company has released its first line of winter clothing this autumn that includes innovative jackets and vests.
Looking for something from Idaho that is not potato themed? Look no further than Banana Ink, a company that has been producing shirts, hats, sweatshirts, patches, beanies, keychains, belt buckles and more in Boise since 2011. Free shipping on first order. Rebel Nell turns Detroit’s vibrant street art into unique jewelry while creating opportunities for women overcoming barriers to employment. Mimosa makes all of its jewelry from start to finish at its studio in South Louisiana, using the ancient art of wax casting — with a modern twist. Designs are carved into wax and then turned into a silicon mold, which can be easily reproduced. All of those pieces are then added to a wax “tree,” and placed into a flask; a plaster-like mold is then made. Once that happens, the flask is heated so the wax melts out, and metal is poured in to fill the molds, creating the company’s jewelry. Whether your ballplayer is a Little Leaguer or an All Star, there’s a Homewood Bat for them. The Anastasia Co.is an Omaha-based stationery and apparel brand dedicated to crafting encouraging and thoughtful goods.
