Meet the brilliant minds behind CrunchLabs. Daniel Gleason, Mason Landon Smith, Evan Barnes, Dan Tompkins, Bam Sinhasane Enjoy engaging discussions at Maker Faire Bay Area 2024! Insightful panels show off kit prototypes and hurdles like Sand Garden and Infrared Turret, and Mark Rober’s biggest advice for design shared. They also offered brainstorming tips and talked about the magic of collaboration.
These inventors shared insight into what inspired them to become manufacturers, where they find their inspiration, and how they take their ideas from concept to finished product manufactured in a factory. Learn about the prototyping and iterative process and the challenges of designing toys for mass production. Whether you’re a budding inventor or a seasoned maker, this panel provides valuable tips for your next project.
We are a small team of fun-loving engineers, designers, and makers, led by Head Engineer and former NASA engineer Mark Rober. Our goal is to teach kids how to think like engineers (because who better to teach engineering to kids than a childish engineer!)? Thinking like an engineer is more of a practical approach than a career or degree path. It will help you achieve anything you set your mind to. Even if it means starting a toy company! We hope you enjoy our toys as much as we do.
