Bringing hope to millions of people.
Why is it so important?
Thousands of adults and children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and many of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. That’s why we must do everything we can to increase funding to fight cancer. Funding will ultimately help charities like Cancer Research UK deliver better treatments and outcomes for people living with cancer. It can also help you plan for important decisions about your future care and support needs while you still can. We help individuals and their families prepare by providing practical advice and support, especially as they face the new challenges that cancer inevitably brings.
Sian Byerleyco-owner of Pine, commented: “BiteBack 2024 was a great success, but we want to go further and make this year’s event SecondBite even bigger and better, so we can do even more to support Cancer Research UK. We want to raise a lot of money for early diagnosis research. We all know someone who has been affected by this disease. That’s one of the reasons why we think it’s essential to support this amazing charity in the fight against this disease. Please join us on the day and buy lots of tokens! ”
Mr Sian added: “We are extremely grateful to the 20 chefs who have given their time to help us overcome this terrible disease.” I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Wylam Brewery for generously providing their venue. We would also like to thank our various sponsors who provided refrigerators, generators, and all the equipment needed to keep the event running smoothly. ”
