San Siyam Vir Reef announced the successful celebration of Children’s Day on 10th May and World Thalassemia Day on 12th May 2024. These events were organised in collaboration with the local communities of Da Huldheri and Bandidhu and demonstrated the company’s commitment to social responsibility, education and community engagement.
Children’s day celebration in full delhi
On 10 May, the team from Sun Siyam Vil Reef travelled to nearby Dh Hulhule Island to celebrate Children’s Day with local children. The day was filled with joy and laughter as the children took part in a range of fun-filled activities and games organised by the staff. Highlights of the day included:
- Face Painting: Children had their faces painted in vibrant colors and imaginative designs, bringing smiles and excitement to everyone.
- Cake Art: A creative cake decorating session allowed children to show off their artistic talents and have fun with some sweet treats.
- Tic-tac-toe: Taking part in this classic game allowed the kids to flex their strategic thinking skills and have loads of fun with some friendly competition.
The event was a huge success, fostering a sense of community and creating unforgettable memories for the children of Dh Hulhudelhi.
Bandido’s World Thalassemia Day
To mark World Thalassemia Day on May 12, Sun Siyam Viru Reef hosted a special awareness event on nearby Bandidhoo Island. The event aimed to educate and raise awareness among local residents and resort staff about thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder. Key activities included:
- Educational lecture: Specialist doctors delivered informative lectures on Thalassemia, explaining its causes, symptoms and treatment, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and regular medical care.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Printey, the sustainability spokesperson, highlighted the resort’s efforts to promote health and wellbeing within the community. Printey’s engaging presentation emphasised the importance of awareness and support for people affected by thalassemia.
The event was well received and participants gained valuable knowledge and understanding about thalassemia. The event highlighted San Siyam Vil Reef’s commitment to health education and community wellbeing.
