DBS and POSB customers faced issues accessing the banks’ mobile apps on Saturday morning, with more than 500 reports of issues logged on outage tracking website Downdetector since 7am.
According to The Business Times, users of the DBS Digibank app have reported being unable to log in or being logged out shortly after accessing the app.
A notification on the app indicated that customers may experience issues accessing Digibank’s mobile services. The incident follows a series of outages that DBS experienced in 2023.
“A small number of iOS users experienced network issues from 7:52am onwards,” a DBS spokesperson told The Business Times.
Despite the disruptions, affected customers were still able to make payments using DBS PayLah, digibank online internet banking and DBS/POSB credit cards.
The bank has since resolved the issue and all iOS users were able to access digibank mobile services as normal from 11:02am.
DBS has come under increased scrutiny from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) recently following repeated disruptions to its online banking and payment services.
