Methane emissions from cattle have received mainstream attention over the past decade, but calls to eat less beef often fail to take into account the carbon sequestration and biodiversity benefits of producing nutritious food on grassland.

– Nick BettsHe is the first Managing Director of the Canadian Net Zero Agri-Food Alliance (CANZA) when it launches in late 2023. He has held positions in agricultural associations, ministries of agriculture, international industry associations and global climate consulting.
– Brenna GrantExecutive Director of Canfax and Canfax Research Services. Brenna also serves as Chair of the Climate Science Committee for the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef and is involved in the National Beef Sustainability Assessment for the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef.
– Richard HeathRichard took up the role of CEO of the Zero Net Emissions Agriculture Cooperative Research Centre at the University of Queensland, Australia in January. Prior to this he was Executive Director of the Australian Agricultural Institute and Associate Professor of Agronomy and Farm Management at the University of Sydney. He is a Nuffield Scholar and Director of Nuffield Australia.
