Mr Ibrahim Siuli has been appointed Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on Thursday appointed Shiuli, who is also the vice-president of the Table Tennis Association, to the MMPRC post.
The government initially appointed Fatima Tawfiq as MMPRC’s managing director, but she was removed from the post on May 22. The company’s chairman, Nurain Jana, and director Rafil Mohammed also resigned in May.
MMPRC or Visit Maldives is the government agency responsible for marketing and promoting the Maldives as a tourist destination.
