The American Manufacturing Alliance team is in Washington, D.C., this week to attend the 2024 United Steelworkers Rapid Response Legislative and Policy Conference. On Tuesday, we screened the documentary film “Relighting the Flame” for USW members, and new digital toolkit We have everything you need to show your movie in your community.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Carl Criss, “Relighting the Flame” is a hopeful look at how a new generation of workers will rebuild and strengthen America’s steel industry. It’s telling a story. Separately from the conference, the film was screened for audiences in Cleveland, Ohio, and Chesterton, Indiana. free on YouTube.
However, we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to see this film. To achieve this, we need your cooperation.
We’ve created a digital toolkit to help people like you host your own “Relighting the Flame” screenings. This 26-minute film is a perfect topic for a trade union or civil society meeting, for example. It might also make for a nice discussion at your local book club (just change the movie book!). Alternatively, it could be shown in educational settings such as high schools or community colleges.
