PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk has launched the Indonesian AI-enabled fintech voice assistant “Dira by GoTo AI”.
The launch is part of a long-term Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation program aimed at integrating advanced AI technologies into all sectors. Moveecosystem.
Dira will be initially available to limited users of the GoPay app and will be gradually rolled out and eventually made available on the Gojek app as well.
Dira, short for Dikte Suara (voice dictation), is designed to improve user experience by allowing users to navigate the GoPay app and perform tasks using Indonesian voice commands.
For example, accessing the “insurance claim” page for Social Health Insurance (BPJS) payments, which normally requires multiple steps, can now be done with a single voice command.
The introduction of Dira aims to make the benefits of AI more accessible: its lightweight integration makes it available on all types of mobile phones, even those with limited storage, at no extra cost.
Users can launch Dira by tapping on the microphone icon on the main page of the GoPay app and issue voice commands for tasks such as paying electricity bills, transferring money, buying phone credit and changing PINs.
For security reasons, transactions via Dira still require a PIN and biometric authentication such as fingerprint or facial recognition, without which the transaction cannot be completed.
Hans Patwo, GoTo’s chief operating officer, said:
“GoTo AI’s Dira provides a localized voice assistance solution that not only benefits our users but also paves the way for many more AI capabilities across the GoTo ecosystem in the future.
“The GoPay app was designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind, in line with our mission to provide financial services to all segments of society, including Indonesia’s 97 million unbanked adults.”
