Bank of England warns of delays to CHAPS payments system

The Bank of England has warned that its CHAPS service, one of the world’s largest high-value payments systems, has been affected by global payments problems, causing delays to some large, time-sensitive payments. Some UK house sales have been hit by problems with the UK payments system, which has put the country on track to become the world’s largest payment system.
