My urologist, in his guidelines for preparing for a biopsy, had me use a Fleet enema before the procedure.
So I went to CVS and found the CVS version on the shelf, which of course was cheaper than the Fleet brand.
How could CVS have made it clear that this was a replacement other than by putting this item next to the Fleet version on the shelves (very cleverly, they even made the box a very similar color) but of course they couldn’t advertise it as the Fleet version.
The box also says:
CVS Health Ready-to-Use Enema is not manufactured or sold by CB Fleet Co., Inc., the distributor of Fleet Enema Saline.
In other words, they met their legal obligations by making it clear that this is not Fleet, but by saying it is not Fleet, they are also telling customers who read the small print that it is a competing product with the same functionality.
