Standard Chartered Bank has announced a shake-up of its group management team. Alex MansonCEO of SC Ventures, has joined the team effective immediately.
Manson is SC Ventures In 2018, under his leadership, it became Standard Chartered Bank’s innovation, fintech investment and ventures arm, driving the bank’s digital transformation and innovation efforts.
He has over 30 years of banking experience and is known for using his background to build an industry-transforming fintech ecosystem.
Manson joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2012 as regional group head of wholesale banking and subsequently served as global head of transaction banking in Singapore before founding SC Ventures.
One notable initiative undertaken by SC Ventures under Manson’s leadership was Launch of audax Financial TechnologyDigital banking technology solutions provider.
Previously, audax supported Standard Chartered nexus (SC nexus), a white label plug-and-play Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering for large ecosystem players.

As SC Ventures matures and innovation becomes increasingly central to the bank’s future, Winters stressed the importance of strengthening connections between the bank’s businesses, functions and ventures.
