Magic Myna reduced development time by 20% and IT infrastructure costs by 25%.
Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) announced today at Cloud Summit that Magic Myna, a leading Indian manufacturer of customized drones for healthcare, agriculture, logistics and other applications, has adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud to optimize its design and development processes.
Magic Mina uses Dassault Systèmes’ industry-leading applications, powered by the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to streamline the design of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for a variety of applications. The platform provides a collaborative environment for design, simulation and data management to accelerate product development cycles and improve product quality. For example, SIMULIA applications provide Magic Myna with advanced structural simulation capabilities to optimize the design of lightweight yet structurally stable drones.
The fast-growing drone industry faces significant challenges as a fragmented market with numerous startups competing with emerging giants. This environment requires rapid innovation and quick market entry, with startups facing obstacles around design efficiency, time to market, and competition from incumbents.
Magic Myna specializes in manufacturing customized drones for sectors such as agriculture, logistics and healthcare. In India, the drone sector is expanding due to government initiatives and new market developments, especially in agriculture. One of the major challenges Magic Myna faced was the limited flight time and distance, as well as the initial development costs. Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform helped them overcome these challenges by providing a solution for developing lightweight drones and ensuring structural stability during flight.
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform, along with other solutions, has streamlined Magic Myna’s design process and enabled the timely release of innovative drone products, optimizing designs, adapting quickly to market demands, and improving productivity.
“Dassault Systèmes’ solutions help us innovate, enabling us to launch products faster and improve the structural stability and productivity of our drones. Their user-friendly platform and advanced simulation capabilities have streamlined the design process and helped us develop lighter and more stable drones in less time. We are confident that this will position us as a leader in the Indian drone industry and strengthen our efforts to push the boundaries of UAV technology towards greater efficiency and reliability. Our partner, EDS Technologies, has played a pivotal role in this endeavor, providing excellent implementation support and helping us hit the ground running quickly,” said Sunil S. Nair, Co-Founder, Magic Myna.
“Dassault Systèmes’ industry-leading integrated solutions have enabled Magic Minor to rapidly innovate its drone products resulting in faster product launches, improved structural stability and increased productivity. This demonstrates our commitment in providing virtual twin experiences and advanced applications supporting customers in emerging and competitive segments such as drones,” said Deepak NG, Managing Director, India.
