Wards Auto has released its mini vehicle sales forecast for August. U.S. light vehicle sales rise 4% in August, ending two consecutive years of declines (Paid site)
Growth was solid in August, despite the result being the lowest SAAR in seven months for the period. However, after increasing 3.4% year-on-year in the first five months of 2024, demand has remained roughly flat in the following three months. Sales for the calendar year ending August 2024 were 10.5 million units, 2.2% higher than 2023’s 10.3 million units.
