The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) will receive $5 million over five years from the Saskatchewan and federal governments through the Sustainable Canada Agriculture Partnership Agreement. Funds will be used for project development and implementation, knowledge transfer and training, and ongoing operations.
PAMI works with leading manufacturers, producers and a wide range of industries to provide engineered solutions for the agricultural sector. Headquartered in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, the Institute’s work helps advance innovative research that supports Saskatchewan’s strong agriculture industry and beyond, said Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Mallit.
Marit and his federal counterpart Lawrence MacAulay announced the funding for PAMI on Tuesday.
“With this increased funding, PAMI will continue to do what it does best, supporting agricultural innovation and excellence in Saskatchewan and beyond,” said Paul Bukowski, President and CEO of PAMI. It will be possible,” he added. “We are proud that the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan recognize the value of our work, and are grateful for this funding increase and extension to ensure PAMI’s continued success. ”
