Saskatchewan-based seeding equipment manufacturer SeedMaster has announced plans for a $10 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Emerald Park, east of Regina.
The company said it plans to acquire land adjacent to its existing headquarters and add 6,000 square feet of production space to the existing 6,000-square-foot building. The facility will employ 20 to 25 people and will also include new CNC steel-plate cutting machines and an automated painting system.
“Demand for SeedMaster’s technology has grown, especially over the last few years, so we have been looking for a suitable location for expansion,” said Don Henry, CEO of SeedMaster. “We were able to acquire the space next door to our current facility, and we are excited to enter a new phase of growth for SeedMaster here in Emerald Park.”
The company plans to begin operations at the expanded facility by the end of 2024.
SeedMaster plans to launch several new products for 2025, including a new Ultra Pro 3 (UP3) on-frame tank system, new E-Series air carts and a new single-knife air drill. These new products will be on display at the Ag in Motion agriculture show in Langham, Saskatchewan, in July.
