It’s been 40 years since Kim McConnell launched her first agribusiness, Fieldstone Marketing. McConnell later grew his company into his AdFarm, one of North America’s largest agricultural marketing companies.
After leaving his role as CEO of AdFarm, Mr. McConnell remained a constant presence in advancing Canada’s agri-food industry and was instrumental in founding the Canadian Center for Food Integrity.
Mr. McConnell, a past recipient of “AgriMarketer of the Year” and “Mentor of the Year” by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, a member of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Order of Canada, was honored this week with a new award. Added new winners. He was awarded awards on his recognition list.
The University of Calgary Haskayne School of Management and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce have named Mr. McConnell the recipient of the 2024 Inspirational Business Leader Award.
Ms. McConnell will receive the award on June 20, becoming the 32nd recipient of the school’s annual award, presented by the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, with support from gala partner Calgary Foundation. The awards will be held at the new BMO Center.
