Farmers looking for an air cart to help improve productivity, quality and accuracy when seeding can find the right cart for their job with the Deere C Series, the company says.
At the recent Commodities Classic in Houston, Texas, producers got their first look at Deere’s new C Series lineup. This lineup includes his five carts ranging from 350 to 650 bushels, all available in predecessor and successor models. It also includes 850 bushels of trail only. cart.
In an interview with Bernard Tobin of RealAgriculture, Jordan Johnson, Deere’s global air seeding business manager, said the C-Series story really begins with the new corrosion-resistant AccuRate stainless steel electronically controlled meter. “What these electric drives offer is curve correction and more detailed prescription. And with SectionCommand Pro, you can just turn off the drive and start a section.”
The new AccuRate meter bank includes up to eight individually controlled meters per tank. The ability to change the speed and capacity of each meter allows growers to run higher-resolution formulations, Deere says.
The C Series also offers faster calibration with the EZCal calibration system. This push-button calibration system is up to 75% faster than current manual bag calibration systems, saves over 100 walking steps, and eliminates the need for operators to crawl under the cart during calibration.
Johnson also discusses blower automation, another new feature that allows operators to set target blower speeds from the cab. Blower speed is maintained and adjusted according to changing conditions throughout the day. Watch the video below.
