The Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) last night hosted a gala event for its inaugural HR Excellence Awards, which recognises outstanding achievements in human resource management. The ceremony, held at Villa College QI Campus, recognised outstanding HR professionals in the Maldives.
The MAHRP HR Excellence Award is the first of its kind in the country and aims to recognise and reward outstanding contributions to human resource development. The winners were selected through a rigorous screening and review process.
In his opening remarks, Ahmed Ibrahim, Chairman and Founder of MAHRP, stressed the importance of the role of HR leaders in driving the Maldives’ service economy and the need for community leaders to prioritise talent development to support the country’s economic growth.
The awards were given out in two main categories: individuals and organisations.
Organizational Winners
- Excellence in HR Innovation: The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort
- Excellence in Workplace Culture: Total Transport Solutions Maldives Pvt. Ltd.
- Developing excellent human resources: Constance Moofushi Maldives
- Excellence in Employee Health and Wellbeing: National Trading Organization Ltd.
- Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Maldives Transport and Contracting Company
- Excellence in HR Tech: Maldives Transport and Contracting Company
- Most people-focused leaders: Mohammed Rasheed, Dombez Co. Ltd.
Individual Winners
- Outstanding HR Leader of the Year: Ahmed Asbaab, Aminat Shirley, Ibrahim Shahim
- Emerging HR Leaders: Aminat Ilasha and Ali Shaukas
- Excellence in Women’s HR Leadership: Dr. Fatimus Muna, Dr. Ampol Vemagiri, Dr. Aminat Shirley
The event was a huge success, bringing together HR professionals from across the Maldives to celebrate the industry and acknowledge the achievements of their colleagues. MAHRP remains committed to advancing the HR profession and supporting the development of human capital in the Maldives.
