3 ways to track with FedEx
The FedEx tracking page provides three ways to track your package. Each one is slightly different and may only appear on certain streams.
Tracking by tracking number
This is the most common method of tracking packages. A tracking number is a number that FedEx assigns to your package when it arrives in our system. Enter this number into Stamps.com or the FedEx tracking tool to view delivery status.
Tracking by reference number

Tracking by TCN
A Transportation Control Number (TCN) is a number associated with orders passing through the Defense Transportation System (DTS). You can track it using TCN and shipping date. FedEx tracking page.

What is a door tag?
door tag A physical receipt that FedEx leaves in the event of a missed delivery. If you were not home for the delivery, failed to provide a signature, or the delivery driver could not find a safe place to leave your package, you may have received a door tag. The door tag contains details and additional information specific to the package. You can track your package as usual, but you can also text “Follow” and your door tag number to 48773 to receive text updates about your package from FedEx.
