The celebrations will kick off on 15 June with a Grand Coconut Show at Ega Muzi. This interactive event will allow you to learn about the coconut’s diverse uses, benefits and cultural importance in Maldivian life. After the show, you will be invited to Kolakari for an exquisite culinary experience that fuses Maldivian and Arabian flavours. This cultural fusion celebration is sure to leave your taste buds craving more.
The celebrations continue on 16 June, starting with a special Eid breakfast at Kolakari. Start your day with delicious food that will set the mood for the upcoming festivities. At 7.30am, you can join the Eid prayer at the mosque, a tranquil and spiritual start to your day. In the afternoon, experience the vibrant energy of Daffi Negun, a traditional Maldivian dance. Characterized by rhythmic beats, expressive movements and colorful costumes, it will take you to the very essence of Maldivian culture. After the dance, fun continues on the beach with traditional games like tug of war and a game of Daffi Negun, followed by delicious Maldivian tea as the sun sets.
The celebrations will culminate with a mesmerizing Eid show at Fanihandi Bar. Guests will be enchanted by cultural performances such as Dandi Jehun, Bandiya Jehun and Bodubelu.
