TD chief says investigation shows need for greater accountability for staff

Toronto-Dominion Bank Chief Executive Officer Bharat Masrani said employees need to be more responsible and act with more urgency on risks after the Canadian bank was rocked by a major investigation into money laundering in its U.S. operations. “The big lesson is don’t take anything for granted,” Masrani said Wednesday at a financial industry conference hosted by Toronto-Dominion Bank.
